I have to admit I’m falling behind on planning for Italy. I planned everything to a T when we went to Ireland but honestly I don’t have it in me this time. I just want to get there already. I want to be drinking wine on a side walk at a little café. I mean doesn’t that sound delightful?
While I don’t have our transportation, or plans set in stone yet I do have a few things that I know I want to do. I thought it would be fun to share that list with you.
Eat gelato every day
Wander through ancient ruins
Eat Seafood & Drink Spritz in Venice
Go on a wine tour in Tuscany
Spend an evening strolling through city streets as the sun sets
Buy fresh ingredients and cook a meal on my own
Go to an authentic trattoria
Get a photo in front of the Trevi Fountain
Eat Pizza
Visit some epic Dan Brown movie sights, because why not? (eg. The Pantheon, Piazza del Popolo, Church of Santa Maria del Popolo, etc)
Eat Pasta (Basically we are eating all the things here)
See the Vatican
Go to a gallery and see some beautiful art
And there you have it my bucket list. We aren’t really looking for anything ground breaking here, but it was a fun little post to put together. Happy Friday!

Eat gelato every day was one of my Italy goals too, and I even indulged twice a day a couple of times! The ‘bacio’ flavor was my favorite (chocolate hazelnut). Long line to get into the Vatican, but it was pretty cool. I found the Sistine Chapel to be overrated though! I love that you want to buy fresh ingredients and cook a meal, I did that in Ireland and I felt like I lived there 🙂 and as for a walk in ancient ruins, the Roman Forum is perfect for that! It’s right by the Colosseum and the Arch of Constantine.
Last I heard the Trevi Fountain is currently under construction, but the Spanish Steps are around the corner and also great for photos! I am SOOO excited for you lady!! Italy is magic!

I just went to Europe and I was the same way you are! We knew what we wanted to see and created a similar bucket list but did not schedule everything by day or time. It worked out for us because it rained most of the time, so we were able to move our day trips around that suited us and the weather! I think going with a care-free attitude is great. As your post said, you know what you want to do, just plan while sipping wine at an outside cafe!
Have a great trip and hope all is well!!!!! 🙂
